Vanessa Romulus joined The National Sports Medicine Institute as a full-time, licensed, Certified Athletic Tainer in September 2022. She is an integral member of the medical team both in the office as well as in the operating room. Vanessa evaluates, triages and treats medical and musculoskeletal pathology in coordination with her supervising orthopedic surgeons. In the operating room, Vanessa scrubs in on surgical cases as a primary surgical assistant in order to ensure safety, continuity of care, quality surgical outcomes and operating room efficiency. 

Vanessa is from East Windsor, New Jersey, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and her master’s degree from LSU. She is highly skilled in the treatment of elite athletes through her years of experience caring for professional athletes at the New York Jets & Los Angeles Rams, Olympic track and field athletes at LSU, and Division I athletes for Penn State and LSU football, track & field, soccer, and volleyball. 

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys cooking, spending time with friends and family, and watching sports.
