The National Sports Medicine Institute (NSMI) is excited to announce a full-time opportunity for a skilled and dedicated Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team in Lansdowne and Aldie, VA. This position is ideal for someone ready to apply advanced clinical skills in a collaborative, high-impact role focused on athlete and patient care.As an Athletic Trainer at NSMI, you will play an integral role in facilitating patient flow throughout the clinic, supporting sports medicine and orthopedic providers, and ensuring efficient, high-quality care. The position requires a high level of clinical proficiency, organizational ability, and a proactive approach to patient and provider needs.Key Responsibilities:• Conducting vitals, HPI, and brief physical exams• Presenting patients professionally to providers• Applying casts, splints, and braces• Educating patients on injury care, DME use, and post-operative instructions• Assisting providers with routine procedures and exams• Assisting in orthopaedic surgery• Managing insurance authorizations and functional assessments• Operating our EHR, PACS imaging, and scheduling systemsRequirements:• Master’s degree in athletic training or related field (highly preferred)• BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, in good standing• Current or eligible for Virginia state licensure• CPR/BLS for healthcare provider certification• Preferred: Minimum one year in a medical office, hospital, or practice setting; EHR experienceAdditional Information:• Full-time schedule (flexibility required)• Start date is flexible; applications accepted until 12/6/2024• Competitive salary for the area• Paid Orthopaedic Technologist Certification within 1st year of employmentInterested candidates can apply online via our website.
